#Carolina We Back
Don’t call it a camback. Despite a knee injury that kept Panther wide receiver, Steve Smith out of most of the game during Sunday afternoon’s rematch against the Saints, Carolina was able to capture a victory at home and a spot in the playoffs.
After a scoreless first quarter the Panthers were able to hold the Saints to two field goals (going back to their trend of not allowing a first half touchdown) before scoring the first touchdown of the game and leading by one (7-6) at the half.
In the third quarter the Panthers would score a field goal to increase the lead by 10-6. That’s when things started to fall apart for the Carolina Panthers.
Bank of America stadium would suffer from a monsoon and gusty winds making it difficult for both teams to hold onto the ball, resulting in injuries for both Carolina and New Orleans.
